RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Architecture and implementation of user-facing parts of systems
• Build reusable libraries and frameworks that support complex web applications
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, other engineers, and customer success to build the best user experience.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• 
  Solid Computer Science and Software Engineering background.

• 
  3 years of experience in building web, mobile-web or hybrid mobile applications.

• 
  Experience building highly scalable RESTful web services and APIs.

• 
  Experience with * & * and front-end frameworks such as * (1-4), React, *, etc.

• 
  Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ES5 and higher).

• 
  Experience with preprocessor style sheet languages such as Sass, & Less.

• 
  Opinionated, but willing to compromise and take direction.

• 
  Can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership, increasing levels of responsibility and independence.

• 
  Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• 
  HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3 expertise.
• Knowledge of other web libraries and frameworks such as Polymer, React, etc.
• Understanding of front-end performance issues and optimization strategies (i.e. Caching, CDNs, concatenation and minification, sprites, SVGs, spans, etc.).
• Understanding of what constitutes good UI and UX practices and ability to apply them.
• Experience with message queueing technologies such as RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka.
• Experience with event driven service architectures.
• Experience with other programming languages than JavaScript.
• Experience with front-end build environments (Grunt, Gulp, etc.).
• Experience with object oriented and functional programming paradigms.
• Active interest in Bitcoin, Ethereum or other digital currencies & the blockchain.
• Ownership of one or more digital currencies.
• Familiarity with the workings of one or more cryptocurrencies.
• Programmed smart contracts.
• Deployed 1 or more Bitcoin, Ethereum or other crypto network nodes.
